NEVER FORGET

My fellow SCC family, believers, and Americans. 22nd years ago today terrorists and religious extremists hijacked 3 planes and killed nearly 3,000 people. The impact on our country was strikingly vicious and yet it brought us together as never before in prayer before the One true God that could give us security, peace, and restoration of the deep spiritual breath that had been knocked out of us. Flags flying at half staff today will help us to never forget; but being human? The risk is there that one day? We will.

Typically we gravitate towards letting history slip into forgetfulness. God’s desire in Isaiah 56:7 has been revealed: “…for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Today I’m asking you to pray for this nation. Evil is always at the door, and if we fail to pray, our leaders and watchguards will be weak and ineffective. Borders will be inadequate, and a growing world religion will not rest until it destroys all Israel and all Christians as infidels. We would be naive today not to consider and anticipate other attacks likely being planned … but do not lose heart. Prayer will always prevail. Our founding fathers believed in God’s Word, so ought we. Please cling to Psalm 20:7, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” And may God bless your prayers this 9-11.
